DIY Jewellery Rack

Hello, this week I’m going to show you how to make this little jewellery rack:

It isn’t hard to make at all,  but I think it looks really cute.

What you’ll need to make it:

  • Two pieces of wood (mine were 17x2x1 cm, but you can make them any size you want)
  • Two ice lolly sticks
  • A bunch of nails
  • Two staples
  • A piece of rope
  • White and gold paint

Step one: Paint the front and the upper and lower sides of the wood white. Paint the left and right sides gold

Step two: Cut the ice lolly stick until they’re both 9 cm long and paint them gold too

Step 3: Put nails in the wood. Make sure all of the nails have the same distant between them. I put the nails on the upper piece between those on the lower piece as shown on this foto:

Step 4: Attach the staples to your upper piece.

Step 5: Use wood glue to stick the pieces to your ice lolly sticks like this:

Step 6: Take your rope and braid it. Then, attach it to the staples.

And you’re done! It is a super handy way to store some jewellery like earrings and bracelets and it looks pretty too. Of course, you can customise the colours and sizes so it fits in your room. You could even add more then two pieces if you want.
