Hello everybody! This week I’m showing you how to make this easy DIY planner pinboard. It’s so easy to make and it’s super convenient for planning.
Everybody needs to plan sometimes. It’s a way to keep track of what you’re doing and what you ahem to do. This board makes it really easy to have everything in one place and plan extra convenient.
What you’ll need to make it:
- A pinboard
- A spiral notebook
- A pencil
- A few drawing pins
- Scrapbook paper
- White paper
Step 1: Covering the frame of the pinboard with scrapbook paper
Just cut a few strips out of your paper with the width of your frame and cover the entire frame with them, sticking them in place with crafting glue. I tried to match up the pattern on the long edges so you almost can’t see where the different strips end. I punched a hole with a hole puncher at the place for the nail so you can easily attach it to a wall later on.
Step 2: The notebook
Take your spiral notebook and draw whatever you want on it. I chose for a to-do list but you could do anything: for example a goal list, schedules or blogging plans. The best thing about this is that you can change it up whenever you want to whatever is needed at the moment.
Step 3: Attaching the notebook to the pinboard
The only thing you need to do is grab a pencil and pull it through the spiral of the notebook. Then you can easily let the notebook rest on two drawing pins. Whenever you want to write something on the notebook just take it off, pull the pencil out and you can easily change it up whenever you want.
Step 4: making the calendar.
For this I first cut out a piece of scrapbook paper of 21×16 centimetres.
Then I cut 31 little 2,5×2,5 centimetre squares, wrote the days of this month on them and arranged them onto the calendar. I also made little tabs with the days of the week and stuck them above the rows.
Of course you could make it easier by just printing out an online template, but I liked to match the calendar to my frame so I did it this way.
Step 5: Pinning the calendar to the board
Pin the calendar to the inboard, left to the notebook. I also printed out a piece of paper that said August for above the calendar.
Step 6: extra decoration
This part is the most fun. I decided to keep it simple by just printing out a few motivational quotes and pinning them to the board but you can decorate it in any way you want to make it completely customised.
I love how this planner board turned out. It was so easy to make and it’s really convenient to have everything in one place.
